Review

In the backyard of the McKinney Community Center, this park is a good fallback for when the community center gets boring. It doesn’t have enough star power on its own to make the trip to visit it. Two two-story slides are by far the main attraction, but smaller toddlers may be scared of the height and speed. The small toddler gazebo is a nice touch, but won’t keep your kid entertained for long. Bathrooms are available inside the community center when it is open.

This is a fantastic stop if you’re on the Wilson Creek Bike Trail or walking the Nature Trail. Picnic tables are at the Nature Trail trailhead in a wooded, shaded area.  Parking is available, but it’s on the other side of the community center from the playground and picnic tables. That said, there is plenty of parking and it puts you steps away from nature…or a two-story slide.

Ages: Toddlers (2-5 years), Grade School (6-12 years)
